Substance Abuse Treatment Workforce Environmental Scan

In 2001, the Danya Institute received a sub-contract from Abt Associates to conduct an environmental scan of the substance abuse treatment workforce. This scan consisted of gathering and reviewing documents from many sources; reviewing the scope of public and private efforts regarding workforce development and knowledge application, and, synthesizing and analyzing key points and trends. This project culminated with the production of a report for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Partners for Recovery (PFR) initiative in 2003.
