Aaron Williams currently serves as the Associate Director of Research and Information for the Danya Institute, Inc., and the Central East Addiction Technology Transfer Center (Central East) where he is responsible for the management, and dissemination of all research related to Institute endeavors. Mr. Williams has more than 10 years of research experience in the field of behavioral health science, with an emphasis on substance abuse treatment and prevention, workforce development, and the use of evidence-based-practices in clinical settings. Over this time, Mr. Williams has demonstrated abilities in developing research plans and assessment methodologies, as well as evaluating program effectiveness. In previous employment, Mr. Williams had the opportunity to work on several substance abuse treatment and prevention related grants and contracts including work as a research associate on a U.S State Department funded grant to evaluate substance abuse treatment programs in foreign countries. Mr. Williams also has significant experience developing and evaluating training strategies through his previous work as a Research Fellow at the Army's Behavioral Science Research Institute (ARI).

He has been with the Danya Institute since 2001 and in that time he has written and contributed to numerous articles and reports on: drugs of abuse, workforce development of substance abuse professionals, and implementation of evidence-based practices. Mr. Williams holds a bachelors degree in psychology from Morehouse College and a master degree in psychology from The Catholic University of America.
